During its 26th edition, Green Expo provided a business and congress platform for the more than 8,700 assistants, including industry professionals, academic figures and government officials. During Sept. 4-6, in association with the National Council of Ecological Industrials (CONIECO), the event’s conference program gathered national and international leaders who shared valuable insights stemming from four primary themes were discussed:
- Environment: Residual Management and Waste Recycling.
- Energy Efficiency: Solutions for an effective energy management practice and renewable energy generation.
- Top-Tier Technology: Latest developments in the construction of green infrastructure
- Innovative water treatment solutions: the most advanced water sector technologies
These subjects also included the concept of circular economy, renewable and new technologies generation, Mexico’s Energy Model and CELs’ advances, Mexico’s electricity sector regulation, and water programs designed to counter against climate change.
In parallel, Green Expo hosted over 200 exhibitors both national and international. Companies from 16 countries including Germany, Brazil, Canada, South Korea, USA and the UK showcased the industry’s latest products, technologies and solutions to the event’s attendants.
During Green Expo, COGENERA, Mexico’s Cogeneration Association, held its fourth congress to discuss the advances, challenges and opportunities of cogeneration in Mexico’s energy mix. Aquatech presented the latest advances of Mexico’s water industry and BioBiz provided an opportunity for attendants to become a part of its innovation-focused technological map to create business models and referential frameworks. BioBiz’ aim is to strengthen business networks in the industries it is involved in, such as software, electronics, automotive and creative industry, to name a few.
