Enel Green Power Mexico installs its first bifacial module at the Magdalena II power facility.  This 220MW solar plant is located in Tlaxcala and will supply energy to the Wholesale Electricity Market. According to Enel Director General Paolo Romanacci, the country remains attractive for investment. The Spanish giant, Iberdrola, agrees. It has stated its commitment to the country in the past weeks. In addition, Commissioner Guillermo Zúñiga has resigned from CRE and PwC unveiled a report addressing the current trends of electricity supply in Mexico.

On the global landscape, the Bank of England pledged in an open letter to seek financial systems that encourage climate action from a policymaking standpoint. A GWEC study finds that one in five wind turbines installed in 2018 were from Vestas and the University of California unveils what it says is a better method to recycle used lithium-ion batteries.
